I haven’t been working on the blog for about a year. Oh, I have been doing projects alright. Just didn’t have time to do any blog articles. However, I am going to try to get back in it. Hence this article on the 3 panel screen I made a few months ago. The difficult thing about making a 3 panel screen is to not end up with it looking like oriental furniture. I have nothing against oriental furniture, it just isn’t my style.
The framework of the screen is maple, painted black. The panels are oak plywood. I had fun making this project. The hard part was drawing my own plans. I just could not find any plans that I liked.
I learned how to use a Kreg jig on this project. I had never used one before. Of course the framework is all Kregged together. Be sure and check out the photo gallery of the production process.
